Length: 2.5-2.75 m (8’4"-9’2")

Tail: 70-75 cm (28-30")

Weight: 350-450 kg (770-990 lb.)

Status: endangered; less than 6000 left; seen in Kenya’s Samburu Game Reserve and Buffalo Springs Game Reserve

Habitat: Grevy’s zebra inhabit arid grasslands and scrublands. Unlike the common zebra, Grevy’s zebra stallions defend a territory into which females and foals wander. The males mark their boundaries with dung middens.
