Length: 3.4-4 m (11’4"- 13’4")

Tail: 90-100 cm (3’-3’4")

Weight: 1 700 kg (3,740 lb.) female, 2 300 kg ( 5,060 lb.) male

Status: They are endangered. Less than 6,000 are left in Africa. They are extinct in Tanzania and Kenya but have been re-introduced into Kenya parks.

Habitat: wooded savannas; likes areas with waterholes and mud wallows

Role: herbivore

Food: Unlike the black rhino, the white rhino is a grazer.
