Height to top of head: 1.7-1.8 m (5’8"-6’)

Tail: 30-40 cm (12-16")

Weight: 250 kg (550 lb.)

Status: endangered due to habitat loss and over-hunting

Habitat: lush undergrowth in rainforests; not found in Kenya or Tanzania

Role: herbivore

Food: browses on low rainforest plants

Food: fruit and fungi
