Length: 65 cm (25.5 inches)

Tail: 45-68cm (18-27 inches)

Weight: 11-15 kg (24-33 lb.) female, 22-30 kg (48-66 lb.) male

Status: common

Habitat: The yellow baboon is found in dry thickets, bushlands, steppes and coastal forests.

Role: omnivore

Food: Like olive baboons, this species is also omnivorous and eats a wide variety of foods depending on the season and location.

Predators: Leopards are the major predator but lions pose a threat too.

Other predators include pythons, large eagles, spotted hyenas and humans. Turn to Next Page
